Hello and Welcome to Postcard Adventures!
I’m Danielle, an engineer by day, an aspiring travel blogger by night, and an all around travel enthusiast. I’ve trekked all over the US and internationally, through my job and personally planned trips. On top of that, my husband and I have moved (him more than I) around the country a few times and have lived on the West Coast, the East Coast, and in between! This has provided ample “Local Tourist” opportunities, which is a key philosophy of my travel style. I believe travel is as much about the places and adventures close to home as the epic trips abroad.
We can all be Local Tourists in between our far flung journeys.
This blog is as much an adventure as the ones I share. My husband and I love to recount our travel stories with friends and family (preferably over wine), and it is through their attention and curiosity, that Postcard Adventures comes to you today. It is my hope as you read (and hopefully enjoy) this blog, that you glean some approachable inspiration and tips for your next trip. From road trips to day trips, international getaways to staycations, join me as I narrate my travel experiences, share tips (especially of the packing variety – it’s my guilty pleasure), and ultimately celebrate every journey!
